£400M+ Global construction manufacturer, European Headquartered with factories in over 40 + countries.
The UK operation required strategic direction for their supply chain teams to enable excellent service performance for the UK business. They required a proactive, collaborative and strong operational leader to share responsibility for the tactical direction, performance, safety and culture of the Company.
We met with both the HR team and UK Operations Director to establish the key metrics of the position, culture and strategic direction for the UK business. It was clear that the role commanded an individual with strong leadership skills with an ability to ‘bring people with them’. We extensively searched the market and also accessed the European market to select a suitable shortlist. We conducted our interviewing offsite and managed a rigorous interview process which involved a 4 stage process and included coordinating interviews in Europe.
The King Executive Method, our bespoke 4-step leadership assessment programme was applied to the search to ensure rigour in our approach.
The successful candidate was successfully sourced from UAE and was returning to the UK after working all around the world for 10 years in a senior supply chain capacity. A dynamic character, they had extensive ‘end-to-end’ supply chain experience gained in manufacturing and engineering environments; Equally comfortable in a strategic capacity or ‘on the shop floor’ and multi-site responsibility for 13 worldwide sites.
As well as hitting the ground running and bringing about the change and direction required,
the successful candidate became a key member of the global operational peer group team.
