Overview of Your Role

They are now looking for a new dynamic Managing Director who can lead the senior management team through it’s next exciting period of growth.

Working in collaboration with the senior leaders in group functions such as finance, people, sales and marketing you will ensure the agency runs effectively in line with the group plans.

Working on a hybrid basis, you will need to travel regularly between the Bristol and South Wales offices to meet the needs of the business.

This opportunity offers variety including both Client facing and inward facing (team leadership) responsibilities. Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations to meet business goals and targets
  • Report in detail on all commercial measures ie sales performance, margin improvement, overhead management etc.
  • Drive efficiencies in processes to maximise resource and profitability potential.
  • Inspire performance, create a positive and motivational atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the finance teams to prepare annual budgets and monthly reports
  • Work closely with the people function in relation to the people plan, recruitment, and employee engagement.
  • Encourage a co-operative culture.
  • Effectively line manage senior management team.
  • Lead board meetings and SMT meetings.
  • Manage New Business value chain to drive commercial success.

Your Key Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Strong financial and operational experience complemented by the ability to inspire and lead a team to success.
  • Senior strategic and operational management experience in a fast-paced commercial marketing/media agency environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure
  • Enthusiastic with ability to motivate employees
  • Goal oriented and a good communicator
  • Numerate and analytical to an expert level with the ability to translate numbers into business planning & performance
  • P&L and budget Management ability to understand and drive all business-related metrics and figures
  • Excellent client relations experience.
  • Experience of leading service
  • Experience of managing change
  • Demonstrable track record of operational performance improvement
