Head of Operations / Operations Manager

Salary: Competitive + 10% Annual Bonus (Great Progression Potential)

Are you a commercially-minded, Operations Manager / Head of Operations with the ability to lead and inspire multi – site teams?

If the answer is yes, we would like to talk to you about a Head of Operations role for a high growth SME recruitment business in Devon.

You would lead a dedicated and passionate team with strong values within a driven but friendly environment. You will be data-driven, with the ability to coach and encourage teams to think commercially and to take ownership of decision making. You will need to have a strong financial understanding and have had P&L responsibility in your past roles.

Reporting to the Operations Director, this position offers great potential for progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the business turnover of c£6m
  • Lead a multi-site team of 15 direct reports
  • Design, implement and deliver the business strategy, improving the gross profit margin % performance
  • Build new teams and be responsible for new branch launches
  • Cultivate strong relationships with over 400 agency workers and more than 200 customers, setting the standards for member and customer care across the teams.
  • Gather information relating to competitor activity
  • Produce accurate reports on performance and to be able to spot trends and opportunities in the data to proactively address problem
  • Use data to enact change in business processes and performance so each team member is able to grow their own personal capability
  • Work closely with all members of the team to coach, guide and inspire personal growth, alongside performance growth
  • You will have a working understanding of employment legislation in relation to its impact on recruitment practices.
