THE BRIEF
Rapid growth over the last two years has equated to the business using the opportunistic approach to hiring talent. King Recruit have been retained to consistently source excellent talent on an ongoing basis. We presented a uniquely capable individual with Senior Operational, Planning and Finance expertise, gained from a variety of industries but mainly manufacturing.
THE PROCESS
The Head of Planning role was fast developing as a requirement for the business and this individual represented a broad set of skills together with a finance background, which was an extremely added bonus. This professional had started their early career as a qualified accountant in practice, moving quickly to industry in a variety of sectors. They had gained significant experience in financial project management, acquisitions, and laterally within a fast-paced and often very challenging and changing manufacturing environment. With a very strategic disposition and an ability to cut through complexity in many situations and projects, this individual was a great fit for the rapid growth environment of our client.
THE RESULT
Following a 3 stage interview process with the HR Director, Team and presentation to the Board, the successful individual was appointed. The whole process from inception to offer stage took only 3 weeks.
During their first 6 months, they improved lead time on production scheduling by 38%. They implemented an ambitious and robust revised production planning strategy which included an introduction of better efficiencies and building an effective production planning team.
