Head of Marketing

Luxury manufacturing brand and family cultured business with a relatively new Board of Directors and c£12m turnover.


Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this new role would be responsible for adopting marketing strategy and implementing a full company rebrand inclusive of new product development lines. The person needed to be confident presenting to the Board; Demonstrate a return on investment in terms of marketing spend and activity; Relevant industry experience and the right gravitas/cultural fit for the future of the business.


We met with the Managing Director and key members of the Board to ensure we had a comprehensive understanding of our client’s requirement. We then conducted an extensive search to fully map the candidate landscape and provide our client with sufficient insight to make an informed decision.

The sourcing stage involved mapping the local relevant sector market and wider UK competitor market. Cultural fit was a key aspect of the brief and King Recruit invested significant time to ensure that upon submission of the short-list all of the candidates were both professionally and culturally appropriate. This was achieved via competency-based interviews and relevant personality led questions.


King Recruit enabled the client to appoint a highly impressive Head of Marketing who had relevant sector and specific industry experience. In addition, they were chosen for their strong strategic ability, gravitas and culture fit. These core strengths will significantly benefit the company’s 5- year business plan and drive revenue streams via marketing output.

The client was delighted with the outcome, completing the last key senior level hire within the newly formed management team.
